Our attorneys have extensive experience in a wide range of construction law and construction litigation matters throughout the country, and have been involved in some of the largest construction projects in the country. We represent owners, construction managers, developers, lenders, contractors, subcontractors, and other design professionals, and our services range from drafting of construction agreements and other development agreements, to counseling on risk reduction procedures, to litigation and dispute resolution when the construction project and relationships have gone awry. Construction and development projects in which our attorneys have been involved include, professional sports stadiums and facilities, commercial office buildings, apartment complexes, shopping centers, condominiums, power plants and other infrastructure projects in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and several other states around the country where our clients have been located and involved.
Our Construction Law & Development practice group is co-chaired by Alex Weiner and B. Christopher Lee. The practice group has in-depth knowledge of commercial construction practices, routinely representing owners, construction managers, developers, lenders, contractors, subcontractors, and other design professionals throughout the construction and development process. We take great pride in our drafting and negotiation of construction contracts and other development agreements which recognize the issues at hand and appropriately allocate the risks, liabilities and incentives involved in any development project. Our attorneys have considerable experience working with, but are not beholden to, various forms of development contracts, specifically including the contracts of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Our team includes skilled drafters with the ability to look past the cookie-cutter, one-size-fits-all forms, and develop appropriate contract documents which specifically address the needs, goals and best interests of the client. Should issues arise, our experienced attorneys are actively involved with our Construction Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice group in all aspects of the analysis, prosecution or defense of mechanic's liens and other construction and development claims.
Our Construction Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice group is co-chaired by Gleb Epelbaum and B. Christopher Lee. Should issues arise during a construction or development project, the Construction Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice group has experienced trial attorneys, with vast experience in jury, bench, and arbitration trials. The foundation of prosecuting or defending a case is built on the business and personal goals of our clients. At the outset of any litigation, we work closely with you to understand, develop and shape your realistic goals in the litigation process. Then, together, we carefully, thoughtfully, strategically and methodically develop a unique strategy to best achieve those goals in the complex construction litigation process. Once our plan is formulated, we execute smartly and aggressively while remaining ever ready to skillfully adapt to changing circumstances, facts or your goals. Our overall approach avoids the directionless and ill-conceived “win at all costs” approach.
